Texas
Summer Reading Program
Kick-Off Party
June 6, 2-4 PM, Expo Hall
Enrollment for the program will take
place at the kick-off party as well as at the Sammy
Brown Library during the summer. There will be a
drawing during the party for three $50.00 Wal-Mart gift
cards. The children will need a library card to
participate in the program. Parents can get the
children a card at the library or they will be available
at the kick-off party. Parents or guardians will need
to work, attend school, own property, or live in Panola
County. A photo ID and proof of address is required
when applying for a library card.
The purpose of the Texas Reading Club is to
encourage children to continue reading during the summer. It
is a self-paced program that asks children to read in
15-minute increments and record their time. This program is
for children ages 3-12. Children will receive a Certificate
and a bookmark when they sign up for the reading club. Come
to the library and join today! |
