Carthage Main Street, the Panola Squares Quilt Club, and the Busy Quilters Guild of Panola County are proud to announce that we will be hosting the "Piney Woods Quilt Festival" at the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, April 16 and 17, 2010. This event is a showcase for the work done by the quilt clubs of Carthage and the services we provide. In addition to classes and supportive instruction to new and experienced quilters, both clubs contribute to various charities including Project Linus, the Susan Komen Foundation and Go-Texan Scholarships.

The 2010 event will feature a display of quilts produced locally as well as contributed entries from the surrounding area. A select group of vendors will exhibit and offer merchandise for sale. Vendors will include quilt shops like Backyard Quilts, specialty shops with quilt tools and novelties, and scissor sharpening by The Scissor Guy.  There will also be a silent auction of mini-quilts and quilts for sale. 

A panel of independent judges will select three notable quilts in each category for recognition, as well as awards for "Best in Show" and "Viewers Choice." To participate in the Quilt Festival, you may download and print the entry form above or go by Carthage City Hall and pick one up. Mail the entry form to:
