As of 2007, Lions Gate Company is the most commercially successful film and television distributing company in the United States. They have a home video library of more than 8000 films including Dirty Dancing, On Golden Pond, the Rambo series, and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Lions Gate recently acquired High Noon, the 1952 movie starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelley. The song "Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darling," was sung throughout the movie by Tex Ritter. Tex performed the song at the Academy Awards and it was awarded two Oscars for Best Music Original Song and Best Music Scoring. Lions Gate is re-releasing High Noon on DVD this year and wants to include film clips from the Tex Ritter Museum on the DVD. They will be filming at the museum in the next couple of weeks. "We are very excited about this. There is no way we could afford to purchase this kind of publicity they are giving us for free," said Tommie Ritter Smith, President of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame/Tex Ritter Museum. The videos will be on sale at the gift shop.
